On the afternoon of August 15, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that the Department had received information reflecting that Ngo Quyen High School, Dong Anh, had decided to "stop training" a 12th grade student.

Regarding this matter, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has requested the Principal of Ngo Quyen High School, Dong Anh to be responsible for arranging and assigning students to classes in accordance with regulations. The arrangement and re-arrangement of students to classes will only be carried out with the consensus of all students and parents of the class and with the consensus of all teachers in the school's pedagogical council.

Along with that, the school needs to strictly implement the disclosure of information about the school in accordance with the provisions of Circular 09/2024/TT-BGDDT dated June 3, 2024 of the Ministry of Education and Training regulating the disclosure in the activities of educational institutions in the national education system. The information disclosed according to the regulations includes: General information about the educational institution; financial revenue and expenditure; conditions to ensure the quality of general education activities; plans and results of general education activities. The Department also requires the school to strictly implement the regulations of the education sector, ensuring the rights and legitimate aspirations of the school's students.

Previously, public opinion was stirred up by the fact that a 12th grade student at Ngo Quyen High School, Dong Anh, received a decision from the school to stop training because the school did not have enough conditions to meet the training needs as requested by the student's parents after the student's parents commented on the high-quality class program.

Immediately after the incident was reported by parents, many opinions said that it is common for parents to have questions about the school's training program, the quality of the teaching staff, facilities, etc., especially during admissions seasons. Therefore, the school's sudden "stopping of training" of final year students just because parents disagree is arbitrary and inappropriate. This not only affects the study plan but also affects the psychology of the students.
