After Vietship 2025, a series of maritime deals were signed?

On March 5, the 10th International Exhibition on Shipbuilding and Offshore Technology (Vietship 2025) opened at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.

The exhibition features nearly 200 booths from more than 100 exhibitors, including 2 universities; 50% are Vietnamese enterprises; 50% are foreign enterprises from Norway, the Netherlands, China, Finland, Korea, Singapore, etc.

The exhibition booths at this year's exhibition are diverse in fields such as: Means and maritime transport services; maritime logistics services; design; inspection; consulting; maritime agents; maritime research and training; maritime press. In which, there are prominent fields such as: Equipment, materials and technology for building and repairing ships; equipment and technology for offshore oil and gas exploitation; equipment and technology for offshore wind power .

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, Vietship 2025 is expected to be a place to gather and display the most advanced technologies in the fields of shipbuilding, ship repair, marine equipment, marine construction and offshore engineering supply. At the same time, it is a place to create cooperation opportunities and innovative solutions in the development of the maritime and offshore energy industries.

Within the framework of the event, the Vietship 2025 Buyers Forum also took place, creating opportunities for buyers and suppliers to meet directly, learn about each other's capabilities and discuss future cooperation opportunities.

In addition, the exhibition also organizes specialized seminars and supplier seminars, with the participation and exchange of domestic and foreign enterprises, shipyards, maritime registration agencies, design consultants, equipment and material suppliers and issues of deep concern to the shipbuilding and maritime community.

At Vietship 2025, the Norwegian Embassy organized a booth with the participation of 7 leading Norwegian businesses in the maritime sector with many innovative initiatives and advanced solutions in the green maritime industry.

Sharing with reporters, Ms. Hilde Solbakken - Norwegian Ambassador to Vietnam said that Norwegian enterprises participating in Vietship 2025 are typical representatives of Norway's maritime industry cluster.

"Norwegian businesses introduce advanced solutions in maritime technology, and share, exchange and seek opportunities to expand business networks with partners, including Vietnamese businesses, for the goal of green development and carbon emission reduction of the maritime industry in Vietnam and globally.

In addition to promoting bilateral trade cooperation, maritime is also a potential field for businesses of both Vietnam and Norway. Not only that, both countries are members of the IMO and green maritime will soon open up new opportunities for the business community of both sides to cooperate, creating new jobs for many workers," said Ambassador Hilde Solbakken.

This event is expected by visitors and participating businesses to be a bridge for many maritime industry deals, and is expected to witness a series of important cooperation agreements and new contracts signed with a total value of up to 60 million USD.

Taking place from March 5-7, 2025, Vietship is the largest and longest-standing maritime exhibition in Vietnam. Vietship was first held in 2002 and has had 9 successful editions.

In 2025, Vietship returns with sustainable development goals, not only an opportunity to introduce advanced technologies but also acts as a bridge to promote international cooperation, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position in the fields of maritime, shipbuilding technology and offshore construction.
