Bright On April 19, 2025, in a solemn atmosphere, the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) solemnly held the Sao Khue 2025 Award Ceremony, marking an impressive breakthrough year of the country's information technology industry . The event took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) , gathering more than 700 delegates who are leaders of ministries, departments, branches, leading experts and representatives of 129 outstanding digital technology enterprises.

With the theme " Innovation - Growth " , Sao Khue Awards 2025 honored 198 outstanding digital platforms, services and solutions, spanning 9 different fields. This is not only a testament to the remarkable growth of Vietnam's IT industry but also a strong support for the goal of bringing the digital economy to 20% of GDP by 2025, realizing the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Party.

Glorious journey and impressive numbers

Launched on December 27, 2024, the 22nd Sao Khue Award voting program witnessed a new record in scale when attracting more than 500 nominations from leading technology enterprises across the country. Through three rigorous evaluation rounds, the National Final Selection Council, chaired by Dr. Nguyen Quan - former Minister of Science and Technology - and 40 prestigious experts, selected 198 most worthy nominations.

The awards presented include many important categories, reflecting the diversity and creativity of the Industry: 5 outstanding digital transformation solutions for the government, administration, and public sector; 19 outstanding nominations for the community and people; 34 outstanding nominations for promoting corporate governance; 11 outstanding digital transformation solutions in the economic - industrial sector; 29 outstanding digital solutions in the market - consumer sector; 26 outstanding technology platforms and infrastructures; 11 innovative solutions; 42 new software products and services and 21 pioneering solutions in digital services.

In particular, the Council selected 25 best nominees to rank Sao Khue 5 stars, recognizing products and services that are outstanding in technology, economic efficiency and social impact. This is the highest number of 5-star awards in the history of the award. In addition, 9 pioneering products and services were honored to be named in the Top 10 Sao Khue 2025, the most prestigious category of the award, focusing on areas such as insurance, finance, banking, education and IT system management.

Spirit of creativity and autonomy, responding to Resolution 57-NQ/TW

This year's awards not only honor current achievements , but also reveal key technology trends that are shaping Vietnam's future :

i) Smart Management: Platform to improve efficiency and competitiveness . This field continues to lead in the number of nominations and awards, with 34 solutions contributing to the improvement of business management. Notably, Vietnamese enterprises have quickly applied artificial intelligence (AI) to develop AI Agents for each business, bringing practical effects such as reducing paperwork, shortening approval time and minimizing errors.

ii) Developing Digital Government and Digital Society: Strong progress . Vietnam’s impressive rise in international e-government and innovation indices is a testament to its relentless efforts in providing online public services. The 24 awards in this area demonstrate the close collaboration between digital technology companies and the government, especially in applying AI to optimize resources and improve service quality in key sectors such as education, healthcare and finance.

iii ) Investing heavily in AI and Digital Infrastructure: Creating momentum for knowledge growth: The breakthrough in AI research and application, especially GenAI, is a highlight. AI not only optimizes operations but also creates AI Agents with outstanding capabilities, promising to bring Vietnam into the stage of "knowledge-based growth". Along with that, the demand for high-quality digital infrastructure is also increasing sharply, encouraging large corporations to invest in modern data centers and advanced security solutions.

The Sao Khue Award 2025 is not only an honoring event , but also a strong affirmation of the spirit of creativity, autonomy and aspiration of the Vietnamese IT industry, responding to the " call " from Resolution 57-NQ/TW. According to statistics, technology enterprises contributed 18.3% to GDP in 2024 with a growth rate of 20%. The 198 nominees winning the Sao Khue Award this year alone brought in nearly 48,000 billion VND in revenue, accounting for nearly 20% of the industry's total revenue .

Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, Chairman of VINASA, emphasized that Vietnamese technology enterprises do not only stop at the domestic market but also bring Vietnamese intelligence to the world. The achievements honored today have been included in major contracts in demanding markets such as Japan, Europe and North America, affirming Vietnam's position as a center for providing digital services and innovation.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong affirmed that Sao Khue is a launching pad for Vietnamese technology to reach out to the world. The Ministry of Science and Technology believes in the generation of Vietnamese digital technology entrepreneurs, believes in an innovative Vietnam, affirming its global position.
