The Traffic Police Department (PC08, Ho Chi Minh City Police) has just issued a notice about restricting vehicles on many central streets on the morning of August 23 to serve the friendly walking activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnamese diplomatic sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs.

Accordingly, from 0:00 on August 22 to 15:00 on August 23: Traffic police temporarily suspend traffic on Le Duan Street from Pasteur Street to Cong Xa Paris Street.

- Le Duan Street from Pasteur Street to Hai Ba Trung Street: Pasteur - Alexandre De Rhodes Street - Pham Ngoc Thach Street - Le Duan Street - Hai Ba Trung Street

- Le Duan Street from Cong Xa Paris to Pasteur Street: Cong Xa Paris - Pham Ngoc Thach Street - Alexandre De Rhodes Street - Pasteur Street

From 6-7am on August 23: Friendship walking program, Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police restrict vehicles on the following route:

Le Duan Street - turn right on Cong Xa Paris - Dong Khoi Street - turn right on Le Thanh Ton Street - turn left on Nguyen Hue Street and go straight to the end of the street - delegates walk across the open median strip on Ton Duc Thang Street - enter Bach Dang Wharf Park (at the symbol of international friendship of Ho Chi Minh City).

A representative of the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police noted that people participating in traffic on the morning of August 23 with routes related to the above routes should proactively choose appropriate travel directions and limit traffic on routes where walking activities take place.

Drivers traveling through the walking area (Le Duan Street area, as well as on the walking route) must reduce speed and comply with the instructions of the traffic police, local police, forces directly involved in ensuring traffic order and safety or the traffic signal system on the road.

Based on the actual traffic situation, the Traffic Police Department will organize forces to adjust traffic flow appropriately, minimizing the impact on the daily lives of people traveling through the organization area and these routes.
