(kontumtv.vn) – Aiming to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses by June 2025, localities in Ngoc Hoi district have been mobilizing all resources, speeding up the repair and construction of new houses for policy households, poor households, near-poor households, and households with difficult housing circumstances, striving to reach the finish line at least 1 month ahead of schedule.

After nearly 2 weeks of construction, the house of Mrs. Y Lo’s family in village 7, PleiKần town, was completed and put into use, ensuring the “3 hard” and safety standards. The completed house is a great joy for the family. Mrs. Y Lo emotionally said: “I am old, very poor, have no husband, no children, I am very grateful for the government’s support in repairing my house.”

Ms. Y Lo is one of 7 disadvantaged households in Plei Kan town receiving financial support to repair and rebuild houses in 2025. In order to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, recently, the entire political system of Plei Kan town has mobilized and made the most of the funding source of over 240 million VND to support disadvantaged households to eliminate temporary houses. Not only mobilizing resources well, the construction and repair of new houses for households has been carried out by the locality ahead of schedule. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Le Huyen - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Plei Kan town, added: “ During the implementation process, the Party Committee, the Front and political organizations have also joined hands to successfully carry out the repair of houses for poor and near-poor households. Up to this point, we have 6 houses repaired and 1 new house and have achieved more than 60% of the construction progress. It is expected that the implementation of the program to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the town will be completed in early April.”

After nearly 2 months of construction, the solidarity house with a usable area of ​​over ^100m2 , total cost of about 400 million VND was handed over to the family of Ms. Y Hong Bach in Nong Nhay II village, Dak Nong commune. In which, BenJii Group Joint Stock Company - Organizing Committee of the Program "Dream Slope - Solidarity Brothers" sponsored 100 million VND through the Fund "For the Poor" of Kon Tum province, the remaining amount was matched by the family. The new, spacious house shows the concern and gratitude of society for policy families and meritorious people.

To achieve the goal of no more temporary houses, in recent times, Dak Nong commune has focused on mobilizing the active participation of all classes of people to join hands in eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Despite many difficulties due to lack of raw materials and construction workers, with many solutions and the active participation of the entire political system, Dak Nong commune has so far completed the elimination of 3 temporary houses. Currently, the locality continues to speed up the elimination of the remaining 5 temporary houses to hand over to households for use in May 2025. Mr. Truong Quang Trung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Nong commune, emphasized: " With the common spirit and policy of the Party, the Government as well as the Party committees, the Front, and the mass organizations of Dak Nong commune, we will be determined to complete, try to mobilize all resources, households, as well as all classes in society, youth union members and villagers to help, determined to eliminate temporary houses in the spirit of the Government that in May the program to eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses will be completed."

To date, Ngoc Hoi district has eliminated more than 60 temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching about 40% of the 2025 plan. Each newly completed house means that one more poor or disadvantaged household has a stable place to live. Therefore, the locality is focusing on directing the acceleration of the implementation progress with the goal of completing the temporary house elimination program before May 19. This is not only a project to celebrate the 135th anniversary of Uncle Ho's birthday, but also demonstrates the attention and care of Party committees, authorities at all levels and the whole society, helping poor households stabilize their homes, work with peace of mind, and escape poverty./.
