High school principals visit modern laboratory practice rooms at non-public schools
At the workshop on sharing experiences in building and exploiting a system of modern laboratory practice rooms organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City on April 10, Mr. Dang Nguyen Thinh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 7, informed that the Resolution of the District Party Congress stated the determination to build District 7 into a center for healthcare, education, and sports in the southern region of Ho Chi Minh City. In that roadmap, the district leaders directed the department to develop a project to establish a modern laboratory practice center for the entire system of schools from kindergarten to high school in the district.
Accordingly, the experimental practice center is expected to be built on a 1,600m2 plot of land in the Phu My Hung area, with a total investment capital of up to 265 billion VND. Of which, the basic construction capital is about 100 billion, the rest is for equipment that will be used from the stimulus loan source...
The Head of the Department of Education and Training of District 7 said that the department is currently promoting the work related to the project to build the center such as submitting the project, asking for opinions from the Department of Education and Training, completing legal procedures... This center will help students have access to carry out learning activities, scientific research with the knowledge they have learned, including creative experiential teaching, promoting learning combined with practice, effectively implementing the 2018 General Education Program.

In the workshop sharing experiences in building and exploiting modern laboratory systems, Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, noted that schools should use laboratories effectively, regularly and continuously, not based on the educational program or some clubs but on the clear orientation of the school. Focusing on those core values, schools can build and promote modern laboratories.
