The hospital continues to improve the quality of services for patients, does a good job of combining military and civilian medicine, continues to perform well the task of ensuring emergency care at sea and on islands in the southern region, especially in the Truong Sa island district, DK1 platform and participates in United Nations peacekeeping activities. The Intensive Care Department also participates in training and developing high-quality human resources specializing in intensive care for the military medical sector in particular and the health sector nationwide; participates in training, managing, and providing medical personnel in coastal and island areas; participates in many scientific research topics at the State, Ministry, and hospital levels in many fields, especially researching issues related to improving the quality of pre-hospital emergency care, coastal and island medicine, aviation medicine, disaster medicine, etc.
