Global Forum Connecting Action for a Green Future
On the afternoon of April 8, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held an international press conference to provide information about the P4G Conference, chaired by Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu.
At the press conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that Vietnam will host the 4th P4G Conference in 2025 from April 14-17 with the theme "Sustainable green transformation, people-centered" in Hanoi.
This is the largest multilateral summit on green growth that Vietnam is expected to host in the 2021-2026 period, demonstrating Vietnam's role, responsibility and contribution in P4G and in the common effort to promote green growth and global sustainable development.
The conference also affirmed Vietnam's determination to fulfill international commitments on combating climate change , reducing emissions and transforming the growth model, and attracting international resources to achieve national development goals.
The conference is a forum for delegates to share visions, experiences, and policies on green growth, spread global action messages, and make more practical, effective, and powerful contributions in responding to common challenges of humanity.

The conference will have about 800-1,000 delegates attending, including leaders of P4G member countries and guests from countries, international organizations, corporations and investment funds with influence in the field of green growth and sustainable development.
The conference will include a Green Growth Exhibition, a High-Level Discussion on the conference theme chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, a Business Dialogue and five ministerial-level discussions, focusing on the areas of resource mobilization, food system transformation, innovative solutions, human resource training and efficient and sustainable energy transition.
The conference is expected to adopt outcome documents, including the Hanoi Declaration, the P4G Declaration on strengthening cooperation with multilateral organizations and mechanisms in green transition and sustainable development, along with a number of other outcomes.

Providing specific information about P4G, Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that the P4G forum was established in 2017 by Denmark , with the goal of coordinating policies, promoting public-private cooperation, connecting governments, businesses and socio-political organizations to promote green growth, contributing to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
P4G has 9 member countries, including: Denmark, Vietnam, Korea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Colombia, Netherlands, Indonesia and South Africa and 5 partner organizations.
P4G's current focus on priority areas includes: Reducing food loss and waste; climate-smart agriculture; sustainable water resources; renewable energy and zero-emission transport.
P4G's outstanding result is providing financial and technical support to small and micro enterprises in the field of climate change response.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that Vietnam's hosting of this year's conference aims to promote Vietnam's role and responsibility as an active, responsible member and a reliable partner of the international community in global issues, especially climate change response and green growth.
At the same time, through the conference, resources from member countries and international organizations will be mobilized in the cooperation process to promote Vietnam's priorities.
The Deputy Minister expressed his hope that organizations, units, experts, speakers, businesses, etc. participating in the conference will share success stories and initiatives in implementing green growth, thereby finding effective solutions and sharing with the international community issues of common concern related to climate change and green growth.
“The full participation and active response of member countries and international organizations is expected to bring success to the conference, creating a boost in awareness of the importance of climate change response, green growth and inclusion in the current volatile world context,” Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized.
