DTO - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Dong Thap province, on April 29, at the Hall of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council (PC), the People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province solemnly held a meeting with cadres and soldiers who made the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee; Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Heroic Vietnamese Mother; Hero of the People's Armed Forces; former leaders of the province through the periods; comrades of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors and more than 200 delegates who were cadres and soldiers who made the Great Victory of Spring 1975.

At the meeting, delegates enjoyed performances; watched the documentary film "The historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign of complete victory". The delegates, who were officers and soldiers who made the Great Victory of Spring 1975, reviewed the historical tradition. Representing the young generation of officers, Senior Lieutenant Huynh Thanh Phong - Assistant to the Organization of the Political Department, Provincial Military Command, expressed deep gratitude, remembered the merits of the heroes and martyrs and pride in the historical journeys of the nation. Along with that, each officer and soldier today upholds responsibility; regularly cultivates and trains the revolutionary ethics of a soldier; promotes the spirit of volunteerism of the youth, actively participates in revolutionary action movements, patriotic emulation movements; Resolutely fight against all plots and tricks of the enemy to distort and sabotage the Party, determined to fight and defeat the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces, contributing to firmly protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, protecting the Party, State and People.

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, comrade Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council respectfully sent his warmest regards and best wishes to the heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and all officers and soldiers who directly participated in the fight and served in the Great Spring Victory of 1975.

Comrade Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that the meeting has great political and historical significance, an opportunity for the Party Committee, government and people of Dong Thap province to review the heroic history of the nation, to remember and show deep gratitude for the great contributions and sacrifices of generations of cadres, soldiers and people for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. In recent years, the province has made efforts to implement the socio-economic development tasks, achieving and exceeding the set targets. In the coming time, the provincial armed forces will continue to promote the heroic tradition of the Army, steadfastly pursuing the goal of national independence and socialism, being absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, and closely attached to the People.
