After 2 national rounds, Le Phan Duc Man is the only student from Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces selected as one of 37 representatives of Vietnam to compete in the 2025 International Olympics.

To be selected to compete in the International Olympiad, students must pass two national rounds. The first is the national excellent student exam with nearly 6,500 candidates. After that, the 187 students with the best results will be called by the Ministry of Education and Training to participate in the second round, which took place from March 25 to March 27.
It is known that this year, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted has 5 students participating in the international Olympic team selection exam in biology, physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Having students selected for the International Mathematical Olympiad team, according to the school's leaders, is not only a personal joy for the students but also a source of pride for the school.
Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Ho Chi Minh City is also a school with students representing the southern provinces participating in international Olympic competitions in previous years and winning prizes.
In 2021, the school had student Phan Huynh Tuan Kiet win a bronze medal at the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO 2021); in 2022, student Nguyen Viet Phong won a gold medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO 2022).
