Hang Ma in Mid-Autumn Festival, the store spent 200 million VND to install a giant carp school

A shop owner spent more than 200 million VND to complete the most prominent giant fish model on Hang Ma Street during the 2024 Mid-Autumn Festival.

Hang Ma Street (Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) is one of the places that attracts many visitors to come and shop every Mid-Autumn Festival thanks to the shops selling beautiful toys and decorations.

Although it is still more than a month until Tet, shops on Hang Ma Street have become hot check-in spots by investing in colorful decorations.

Standing out on a street corner is a giant model of a school of carp looking at the moon hanging on three floors of a house.

Ms. Dao Thi Bich - owner of a shop selling decorative items with giant carp models on Hang Ma Street - said: "Fish have a good meaning for holidays and Tet, so I use that as an image to decorate the shop. We came up with the idea, designed and constructed it ourselves. It took about a week to complete, and cost about 200 million VND" - the shop owner revealed.

Ms. Bich believes that her shop is selling decorative items, so she must invest in beautiful items to stand out and differentiate herself from other shops on Hang Ma Street and attract more customers.

The giant fish model with many colorful colors such as red, yellow, orange... along 3 floors of the house quickly attracted attention on social networks as soon as it appeared, becoming one of the famous check-in spots on Hang Ma Street during this year's Mid-Autumn Festival. Especially in the evening, the lights in the fish's body are turned on, illuminating a corner of the street.

The shop owner revealed that after decorating the model, the number of customers who came to know about the shop, buy things, and take pictures increased significantly. Thanks to that, the traditional products of the craft villages sold here also had the opportunity to reach more people.

Not only this store, along Hang Ma street there are a variety of items such as accessories, children's toys, lanterns shaped like fish, rabbits, mini lion heads, drums... In addition, locals and tourists can find many beautiful photo angles for the Mid-Autumn Festival on this street specializing in selling decorations. On weekends, there are also lion dance performances to attract customers to come and shop.

Mid-Autumn Festival decorations in Hang Ma are very diverse, priced from 30,000 VND to several hundred thousand VND, large models are about 1,000,000 - 2,000,000 VND.
