Two special people helped Captain Hoang Hong Ngoc create a miracle in his first live show.

The champion of Sao Mai 2015, Captain, singer Hoang Hong Ngoc has just had a special milestone in her career with her first solo live show called Bong hoa anh thep.

What surprised the audience and colleagues was that she only prepared for 2 months, but brought a brilliant, emotional night of music, making the entire auditorium of the Army Music and Dance Theater burst into cheers, applause and even tears of happiness.

Few people know that, in order for Hoang Hong Ngoc to shine on stage, behind her are silent companions: director Truong Huy Cong and producer Hai Dam. They are the "brain" and "heart" of Bong hoa anh thep.

With their close friendship, the three of them did not need many words to understand each other. Ngoc came up with the idea, Cong wrote the script, Hai took care of the production, everything was so compatible that just a glance was enough to nod. Thanks to that, while many artists spent a whole year preparing for a concert, Hoang Hong Ngoc dared to do something "daring": completing everything in just two months and succeeding.

What is special is that the live show falls right in the “national concert season”, when the performance schedule is tight and military artists like Ngoc, Hong Duyen, Thu Thuy can always receive sudden work orders. However, thanks to the extensive experience of producer Hai Dam, everything still goes according to plan: the band rehearses fully, the singers match the music perfectly, and the stage is well-built.

“A person who does production work for a live show needs a cool head and sometimes a cold heart. The meticulous calculation, attention to detail, each part of the work, assigning work to each team, each person requires flexibility but also discipline.

Everything that happens unexpectedly requires a calm attitude to handle. Don't let personal emotions interfere with production work, because you are likely to make the wrong decision when overwhelmed by emotions. That is the reason why when producing Bong hoa anh thep, we overcame difficulties and challenges, even the smallest ones, even before the opening " - Hai Dam shared.

As director, Truong Huy Cong created a stage that was both brilliant and sophisticated, fully depicting the versatility of Hoang Hong Ngoc - an artist who is a singer, musician, arranger, music producer, and a strong yet gentle soldier.

“We calculated every detail: light, dance, music, images… so that everything fits together but still retains its own character. That is the beauty of Steel Flower ,” he said.

The image throughout the live show is the stone lotus - a simple but resilient flower, with a tenacious vitality in all environments. Just like Hoang Hong Ngoc, an artist who has worked tirelessly for 15 years in the arts, now blossoms strongly in her first live show.

“I always have a strong belief in the passion and creativity of artists. Hoang Hong Ngoc and I are both people who like neatness, but are not limited to a certain framework. That is what makes us “meet” each other in both our thinking in life and work,” Director Truong Huy Cong shared.

Hoang Hong Ngoc also said that she hopes the friendship of the three people will be strong so that they can continue to work together to create quality music products for the audience. She also silently thanks fate for bringing her together with talented and dedicated young people like Hai Dam and Truong Huy Cong.
