"Continuing the Peace Story" was composed by Nguyen Van Chung 2 years ago but has now become a phenomenon on social media. The song has been used as background music in more than 140,000 videos on short video platforms.

The phenomenon called "Continuing the story of peace" exploded when Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung performed at the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) in Ho Chi Minh City. The song "Continuing the story of peace" touched the hearts of audiences of all generations with its beautiful melody and lyrics. "To make the country peaceful from then on / To make the red flag of freedom / To let laughter resound everywhere from the day of victory / Together with me, continue writing the story of peace / To see the homeland bright in the dawn / To see the sunlight shining brightly on the fluttering national flag" The lyrics of the song seem to give young audiences more pride and gratitude towards the previous generation, those who were willing to sacrifice their youth to preserve peace for the nation.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung shared: "For a musician, having a song chosen to perform on a national holiday is a great happiness. In Ho Chi Minh City alone that day, the song will be played 6 times, not to mention artistic activities in other provinces.

This is the first time I have experienced such a feeling so it is difficult to share it in words. I feel happier than having a hit song, and above all proud because this song is loved by all people, all audiences regardless of age, role, social class, from adults to young students and children, from state agencies to schools and companies...

In more than 20 years of working, this is the first time I have this feeling, both happy and honored."

Before Vo Ha Tram and Dong Hung performed the song at the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day on April 30, the song was performed by singer Duyen Quynh.

Musician Nguyen Van Chung said that in 2023, when making an album about his homeland, he composed Continue Writing the Story of Peace. "The song turns back each page of history, evokes gratitude and from there arouses the desire of the young generation to contribute to building the country to be more and more prosperous and worthy of the sacrifices of our ancestors."

Nguyen Van Chung admitted that when he first released Continue the story of peace, he and Duyen Quynh had difficulty spreading the song. Because "young audiences prefer the theme of love between couples".

But "I've had a lot of luck throughout my music career, for example, Mother's Diary is famous for its sand painting part. This song is the same. The song met a young producer and he remixed it into a 45-second version. That piece of music became viral with young audiences. It's like a stream of water being cleared" - Nguyen Van Chung expressed.

"I feel extremely moved and proud. This joy is greater than the joy of having a hit song, because this song has gone beyond the scope of a hit song and has been recognized and loved by many audiences of different ages, different professions, different fields, cadres, soldiers... who share the same Vietnamese blood, and are filled with love for the country. I am happy to contribute such a meaningful work to everyone, especially the youth."

When asked about his favorite image in this song, musician Nguyen Van Chung shared an emotional moment: "That's the last line: Looking at the bright sunlight, the national flag fluttering."

He added: "I think the spread of the song's message is not only meaningful on this occasion but also in the future because the spirit of young people from now on will rise, with a desire to contribute."

When asked about the remix being more explosive than the original, Nguyen Van Chung expressed: "This is the reality that I have to adapt to and accept the current music flow. Personally, I don't like remixes but prefer ballads with gentle emotions. But I can't deny that there are many young people who like remixes and that is their trend. That musical taste shows their dynamism. As a musician, wanting the song to reach many young audiences, I have to learn and adapt. I always want to learn more to swim with the music flow."
