On the morning of April 2, the Lam Dong Provincial Veterans Association held a meeting with veterans and youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Da Lat - Lam Dong (April 3, 1975 - April 3, 2025) and the Liberation Day of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

Attending the meeting were comrades: Pham Thi Phuc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; K'Mák - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Ngoc Hiep - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Trieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and 120 veterans and former outstanding youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the glorious victory of our army and people in the resistance war against the US to save the country; the achievements after 50 years of liberating the South and reunifying the country.

Colonel Le Xuan Ngan - Former Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command spoke at the meeting.

On behalf of the young generation of Lam Dong province, Mr. NDu Ha Bien - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union spoke at the meeting.

Comrade Pham Thi Phuc - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lam Dong province spoke at the meeting: To achieve such great achievements, our country and our people have gone through countless hardships, pain and losses. Millions of outstanding children have heroically sacrificed, thousands and tens of thousands of wounded and sick soldiers have left a part of their bodies on the battlefield. Among them, there are great contributions from veteran comrades and former youth volunteers in Lam Dong province who have devoted their youth, blood and bones, volunteered on all fronts, served in combat and directly fought to write an immortal heroic epic, brightening the colors of the national flag.

Comrade Pham Thi Phuc emphasized: 50 years after liberation, Lam Dong has been a difficult area - a large area with a sparse population, fragmented terrain, devastated by war, mainly agricultural production, poor and backward infrastructure, and difficult people's lives, but with the spirit of solidarity, will, and steadfast efforts, under the wise leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, the army and people of all ethnic groups in Lam Dong province have joined hands and overcome difficulties and challenges, maintained stable development and achieved comprehensive results in all fields.

To repay that gratitude, the majority of members and young people in the whole province need to promote the spirit of vanguard with practical deeds and actions, thereby contributing their intelligence to build Lam Dong province to be increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.

On behalf of the veterans and former youth volunteers who participated in the resistance war against the US to save the country in the whole province, comrade Vu Cong Tien - Chairman of the Veterans Association of Lam Dong province expressed his thanks to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for attending today's meeting and giving a speech of encouragement. At the same time, he hoped that in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee would continue to pay more attention to activities and policies for veterans and former youth volunteers.
