Thong Nhat trains reunite in Da Nang, passengers are moved when welcomed with colorful flags and flowers

According to Vietnam Railways Corporation, the "Reunification Train" including train SE1 departs from Hanoi Station at 20:55 on April 29 and train SE4 departs from Saigon Station at 19:00 on April 29, both trains arrive at Da Nang Station at 12:40 on April 30.

The train was organized by Vietnam Railways Corporation to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country. There were about 900 passengers on the two trains, of which 400 passengers got off at Da Nang station and nearly 500 passengers boarded the train to continue the journey to Hanoi Station and Saigon Station. They had an emotional meeting at Da Nang Station.

It is known that in addition to the decoration with the theme “Unification Railway - The Country is One” at the stations, train passengers can live in the festival atmosphere with art programs. Passengers on the “Unification Train” can enjoy live music on the train from Hue Station to Da Nang Station (for train SE1) and from Tam Ky Station - Da Nang Station (for train SE4); and are welcomed with a special ceremony at Da Nang Station on April 30.

These two Thong Nhat trains are not only a North-South journey but also a vivid symbol of history, patriotism and national solidarity. The railway industry wants to send a message to preserve the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", to be grateful to the previous generations who sacrificed for independence and peace. On this occasion, the railway industry organized a gift-giving ceremony for Thanh Khe district veterans and former railway youth volunteers.
