The film revolves around the story of Tien (Tien Luat), a corpse collector living with his mentally ill mother, and Thanh (Ngo Kien Huy), an ambulance driver. The two meet in an ambulance carrying a headless corpse.
From here, Tien and Thanh encounter strange phenomena that lead them on a journey full of surprises, many obstacles, and unpredictability to track down the remaining parts of the headless body to verify its identity.

According to director Bui Van Hai, horror comedy will be the main theme throughout the characters’ journey to find the bodies. “However, this theme will be adjusted appropriately to highlight the film’s message, as well as bring viewers a climax and exciting emotional experience about the first journey to find the bodies on Vietnamese screens,” director Bui Van Hai shared.
In his return to the role of director this time, director Bui Van Hai - who is better known as the action director for the films: Buddha's Fire, Life's Waves, Let's Wait for Tomorrow ... said he was quite nervous. Because this was the first time he expressed his point of view and cinematic perspective through a script with spiritual elements, as well as having to describe the camera angles to let the audience see the character's psychology. However, he admitted to receiving support from the crew, especially the two main actors Tien Luat and Ngo Kien Huy.

After the success of Billionaire Kiss , Tien Luat continued to be assigned the main role in Finding the Body .
His character in the film is an emotional person, lives for his family, loves his mother but is accidentally caught up in strange things, mysteries that make him and Thanh (Ngo Kien Huy) decide to set out to find the body.
Although this is not the first time he has acted in a horror comedy film, according to Tien Luat, this project still gives him new and exciting emotions because of its everyday, easy-to-understand message.
According to the revelation, the film also mixes a bit of adventure, action and detective work when searching for the identity of the headless body . "Tien is a character that attracts me because throughout the story of the film he always has to stand between many boundaries, struggling with spiritual fears before each of his decisions ," said actor Tien Luat.

Besides Tien Luat, Ngo Kien Huy's participation is also highly anticipated after his most recent appearance in Dan choi khong so con roi (2022). Ngo Kien Huy's character is a shy guy but is accidentally caught up in the idea of finding the body with his close friend Tien.
He shared: “For Huy, the story of finding corpses, experiencing spiritual phenomena but in a color that is not only dark, scary, with elements of intimidation but also mixed with humor, will certainly be a journey with a lot to tell.”
Finding the Body: Headless Ghost opens on April 18 in theaters nationwide.
