The schools that have just announced their admission scores include Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture and Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education's benchmark score is from 21 and above.

On the afternoon of August 18, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education announced the admission standards for regular university majors based on high school exam results and aptitude scores in 2024.

The school's benchmark scores range from 21 to 27.50 points. Of which, the English pedagogy major (trained in Vietnamese) has the highest benchmark score in the school.

According to Dr. Tran Thanh Thuong, head of the admissions and student affairs department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, the standard score for the education majors is all above 24 points.

The STEM majors with the highest benchmark scores are control and automation engineering and information technology (trained in Vietnamese), with benchmark scores of 26.14 points and 25.97 points, respectively.

"There are 40/66 programs with a benchmark score of 24 points or more, many faculties have benchmark scores for all majors above 24 points. Over 74% of candidates admitted from high school exam scores have scores above 24 points. In 2024, the number of candidates admitted by early admission to the school is 48% and 52% admitted by high school exam method," Mr. Thuong added.

Standard scores for all majors at Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture increased dramatically

According to the standard score information for the 2024 high school graduation exam just announced by Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, the score for each major ranges from 22 to 27.85 points.

Surprisingly, all majors of the school this year have increased their benchmark scores sharply, increasing from 3.25 to 8.5 points compared to 2023.

Of which, the museum industry has the strongest increase in entrance standards, up to 8.5 points, compared to last year. Next is the library information industry, which increased by 8 points.

Two other majors and specialties with an increase of 7 points or more are culture of Vietnamese ethnic minorities and cultural heritage management and tourism development. The remaining majors all increased by at least 3 points.

This year, 10/14 majors and majors of the school have a benchmark score of 25 or higher, while last year no major achieved this score.

The Vietnamese ethnic minority culture industry has the lowest standard score, and the media industry has the highest score.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport has also announced the admission scores for regular universities using the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.

The admission score (standard score) using the 2024 high school graduation exam results is the total score of 3 subjects in the registered admission group; the 30-point scale does not include coefficients and includes regional and subject priority points according to the admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Most of the school's majors have low benchmark scores for this method this year.
