In recent times, the Farmers' Association of Quang Yen Town has had many practical activities to support members and farmers in building and developing the OCOP brand.

Currently, in Quang Yen town, there are 37 products participating in the OCOP program. To raise awareness about branding and product development of cooperatives and production facilities that are members of the HND, the HND annually organizes conferences to promote to members. Accordingly, the Association has invited experts, managers and those who have succeeded in the OCOP program to share experiences, introduce the OCOP program; disseminate criteria, product requirements and ways to participate so that members understand, raise awareness, the importance of building OCOP products and consumer confidence in the market.

HND cooperated with the Town Technical Service Center to open training courses to guide the production process of clean, safe and sustainable products, helping farmers improve product quality and meet OCOP criteria and standards. In the first quarter of 2025, the Town HND coordinated with the Town Agricultural Technical Service Center to organize 20 conferences in 16 communes and wards.

To facilitate members in registering OCOP products, HND has supported and guided the subjects in completing the procedures, consulting on packaging and labels. Not stopping there, the Association has promoted activities, promoted trade, connected supply and demand for OCOP products through exhibitions and fairs, and brought members to participate in fairs and exhibitions organized by other provinces and districts.

At the same time, the Town People's Council coordinated with the Town Post Office to guide and promote members to participate in digital transformation and apply e-commerce in production and business. Currently, 700 members have accounts on the e-commerce platform, 210 accounts have transactions.

Ms. Bui Thi Nhan, owner of Nguyen Nhan shrimp floss facility (Quang Yen town) said: In order for a product to be certified as OCOP, the procedure must go through many strict stages. With the help of the town's Farmers' Association and local authorities, the facility's products such as: Shrimp floss with meat, shrimp paste with meat, mantis shrimp floss, oyster floss, and mackerel floss have been granted 3-star OCOP certification, thanks to which the facility exports over 800kg of various products to the market each month.

In particular, to bring local specialties to more people and tourists from all over the world, HND focuses on developing products associated with tourism. Through festivals in the town and in the province, HND has organized booths to introduce and sell OCOP products associated with tourism experiences, helping tourists understand, know and use OCOP products more widely and have more consumption markets. In addition, the town HND has connected and brought clean agricultural products, OCOP products produced by farmers to restaurants, hotels, and tourist attractions in the area, thereby increasing product value and income for people.

The Town Farmers' Association also cooperated with the Bank for Social Policies to support members in borrowing capital to develop production scale and build product brands. By the end of the first quarter of 2025, the total outstanding loans to banks reached over 313 billion VND, with 2,976 members borrowing capital.

Chairwoman of the Farmers' Association of Quang Yen Town Nguyen Thi Hoai Huong said: To develop local OCOP products, the Association continues to coordinate propaganda, find outlets for OCOP products, and connect online sales channels, promote the export of OCOP products nationwide and internationally; support businesses and producers to build OCOP product brands; continue to propose that Party committees and authorities have mechanisms to support cooperatives and production groups in marketing, building brand images through media channels, exhibitions, fairs...; promote propaganda, mobilize organizations and individuals to apply new science and technology in the production process to help increase productivity and improve the quality of OCOP products...
