BHG - With the attention of the Central Government and the province, Bac Quang district is implementing many important projects to improve the quality of infrastructure, promote socio-economic development, and improve people's lives. In 2025, Bac Quang district will continue to implement 42 new projects, including key projects that are receiving special attention from functional agencies such as: The project to build a new Bac Quang District Sports Complex, with the goal of improving the quality of physical education and sports activities for local residents. This project has completed about 85% of the leveling work and items such as running tracks and sports fields are being urgently constructed. The project is expected to be completed in June 2025.

Next is the Multi-purpose Gymnasium project - a project expected to serve the needs of sports competitions for team sports. Currently, the construction progress of the first floor wall of the gymnasium has reached 33%, the next items such as formwork processing and iron installation are being implemented. In addition, the project to upgrade and renovate Kim Ngoc - Thuong Binh road, a key project connecting areas in the district, has now completed about 95% of the volume. The inner-city route from Group 12, Viet Quang town to Viet Vinh commune is also an important project to help improve traffic connections in the area. The project has now completed 700 m of asphalt concrete and is waiting for the site clearance work to be completed. Finally, the project to collect domestic wastewater in Viet Quang town is also being implemented, with the goal of improving the quality of the living environment. The project has completed 50% of the construction volume, including clearing, dredging and pouring concrete for the embankment foundation.

Although many projects have made significant progress, there are still many problems, mainly related to site clearance, construction organization and investment capital disbursement. In particular, site clearance is always an issue emphasized in large projects. The project to build a new sports complex in Bac Quang district has not yet completed site clearance compensation, significantly affecting the construction progress. Similarly, the project to upgrade the inner-city road from Group 12, Viet Quang town to Viet Vinh commune also encountered difficulties in completing site clearance, causing delays in subsequent implementation.

Director of the Bac Quang District Construction Investment Project Management Board, Hoang Ngoc Vu, said: “The site clearance work is a key factor to speed up the progress of projects. The unit has closely coordinated with relevant agencies, especially the Department of Agriculture and Environment, to promptly handle issues related to site clearance; at the same time, affirming that these procedures will not affect the progress of the projects.”

In addition, disbursement of investment capital is also an issue that needs attention. By March 2025, the total capital plan assigned to projects in Bac Quang district was VND 283,090 million, of which about VND 99,579 million had been disbursed, reaching a rate of 35.18%. Although there have been efforts in disbursement, the disbursement rate is still quite low, especially for public investment projects, reaching only 43.36%. This is one of the factors affecting construction progress if not improved promptly.

To solve the above difficulties, the District Construction Investment Project Management Board has proposed a number of solutions to speed up the construction progress of key projects. That is to strengthen coordination with functional agencies in site clearance work, especially in handling legal problems and supporting compensation for people. At the same time, urge construction contractors to ensure the progress and quality of the project. With synchronous and drastic solutions, Bac Quang district is striving to complete key projects, creating a solid foundation for the long-term development of the locality.
