VieON - the ambition to connect Vietnamese people globally through unique cultural experiences

From being attached to traditional television, today's audiences are strongly shifting to OTT (Over-the-Top) television platforms - where they can watch movies, TV shows, sports... anytime, anywhere with just an internet-connected device. This trend not only changes content viewing habits, but also opens up fierce competition between OTT service providers.

With a different strategy, after 5 years of launching, VieON has affirmed its position as one of the leading pure Vietnamese OTT platforms, with more than 72 million cumulative access devices and an average of 5 million active users per month.

Launched in 2020, VieON focuses on building a copyrighted Vietnamese content library with an international standard technology platform.

Inheriting the strength of the DatVietVAC Eco-Complex, OTT VieON owns a huge purely Vietnamese content store with thousands of TV series, movies, game shows, and reality shows that are produced and updated continuously. Programs such as Anh trai “Say Hi”, Em xinh “Say Hi”, 2 ngay 1 dem Vietnam, Dau truong gia toc… are continuously among the market leaders. Users can also enjoy more than 140 domestic and foreign TV channels, HBO Go movie store, and major sports tournaments.

In addition to content, VieON focuses on investing in technology with artificial intelligence (AI) and Big Data to personalize recommendations; international standard DRM copyright protection system; advanced video compression and transmission algorithms, ensuring sharp images and sounds on all devices.

2024 marks a turning point when VieON launches VieON Global - an international version targeting more than 6 million Vietnamese people in more than 130 countries. The service is currently available in the US, Australia, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Cambodia... and aims to expand to 20 major markets in the near future. The pure Vietnamese content library with bilingual subtitles not only meets entertainment needs, but also serves as a cultural bridge between the overseas Vietnamese community and the Fatherland. VieON is also expanding its library with multilingual subtitles and cooperating with international publishers to spread Vietnamese culture more widely on the global entertainment map.

VieON Global brings Vietnamese cultural experiences to international audiences.

Not stopping at online experiences, VieON promotes its strategy of connecting audiences through live events (online to offline). In June 2025, the VieON All-Star Championship tournament in Ho Chi Minh City, gathered more than 100 artists and thousands of audiences, creating a vibrant atmosphere, connecting the fan community with the platform. Just one month later, VieON Global brought Anh Trai "Say Hi" to Las Vegas - one of the largest entertainment centers in the world, serving both overseas Vietnamese and international audiences, and promoting Vietnamese music culture globally.

In the near future, VieON plans to launch online exchange programs between Vietnamese artists and global fans, and bring music nights and cultural events to countries with large Vietnamese communities. This is a strategic move that will help VieON transform the value of digital content into practical cultural influence, bringing Vietnamese entertainment from “on screen” to “in the lives” of audiences across five continents.
