Regarding artificial intelligence (AI), Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City Lam Dinh Thang said that the city will pilot the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in many departments and localities. In the immediate future, in March, it will support the examination of documents of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

On the morning of March 6, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a meeting to discuss the socio-economic situation and results in February and the first two months of the year; key tasks and solutions for March 2024.

During the meeting, Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City Lam Dinh Thang said that, implementing the theme of the year of Ho Chi Minh City, departments, branches and localities have focused on building a transformation plan for 2024, identifying goals, tasks and key projects that need to be completed during the year.

A highlight is that the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has quickly established the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Center on the basis of reorganizing the Information Technology Center under the Department of Information and Communications; organizing the assessment of the implementation of the digital transformation index set of state agencies in the city in 2023.

In addition, the city continues to strengthen important platforms such as the Administrative Procedure Resolution System; City Enforcement Management System; and launch the city's social media listening application.

In March, the city will announce the results of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Index 2023; organize a workshop to evaluate and propose solutions for developing the city's digital economy; continue to develop and improve the city's administrative procedure settlement information system, and improve the quality of public services for the people.

Along with that, the staff proposed the deployment of the Ho Chi Minh City Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) and a shared camera surveillance system (VMS); and the implementation of the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Government Operation Coordination System. Specifically, sending information on investment policy proposals, monitoring funding results, monitoring progress or sending resource allocation proposals, reflecting on systems... will take place entirely on the network environment.

The Department also advised the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council to issue a policy on exemption and reduction of fees for performing administrative procedures on the city's administrative procedure settlement information system.

At the same time, direct the consolidation of the Business Dialogue Portal, integrate with the City's Enforcement Management System to monitor and direct in real time, increase efficiency in listening and resolving business recommendations.
