
Within the framework of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the evening of April 30, Ho Chi Minh City organized a series of cultural and artistic programs attracting a large number of people and tourists from home and abroad.
From the afternoon to the evening of April 30, people continuously poured into Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) to watch the Mobile Cavalry Police force parade on Nguyen Hue walking street from Ton Duc Thang street to Hoa Sen fountain; watch the military band and brass band perform in front of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee headquarters. Songs praising President Ho Chi Minh and the country such as "As if there was Uncle Ho on the great victory day", "Marching to Saigon", "Unification song "... resounded with the spirit and pride of a heroic time of the nation, making people cheer and sing along endlessly.
At the same time, there was a community art performance program called “Khan Ran Dance” at Nguyen Hue walking street with the participation of thousands of artists, students and people.



Immediately after that was the closing night of a series of cultural, sports and technology activities with the theme of "Colors of Uncle Ho's City " throughout the headquarters of the People's Council - People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Nguyen Hue Street, Ho Chi Minh City Theater, Bach Dang Wharf, Thu Duc City Park and on the Saigon River.
Including a 3D mapping art performance at the facade of the People's Council - People's Committee headquarters of Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of 4 international 3D mapping art teams including Vietnam, France, Belgium, and Singapore.
The main performance on the closing night was AC3 Studio (France) with the work “Vietnam - France: A perspective” . It was a visual symphony honoring the beauty of cultural exchange, traditional handicrafts and historical depth between the two countries. The combination of sound, light and 3D mapping performance art turned the program into a cross-border journey of light, when technological art became the language of cultural connection.



The audience also enjoyed 3D mapping performance art works from teams from Belgium, Singapore and Vietnam.
Along with that, the light show Welcome Ho Chi Minh City, takes the audience on a journey across the S-shaped strip of land - from the majestic North, through the sunny and windy Central region, to the dynamic and harmonious South. A gentle but profound visual journey, where the nature and people of Vietnam appear in each vivid frame.



During the closing night, there was also a performance of 10,500 drones (unmanned aerial vehicles) on the Saigon River and both banks of the river in Thu Duc City and District 1.
In addition, the closing program also includes a symphony performance on Nguyen Hue walking street and many activities on the Saigon River such as amateur music performances, flower lantern boat parade, cruise ship parade, water sports performances, etc.
In particular, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m., Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays at 30 locations. Of which, 2 high-altitude locations are at the beginning of the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and the Ben Duoc Martyrs Memorial Temple (Cu Chi District).

28 low-altitude shooting points are arranged at Nga Ba Giong (Hoc Mon district); Ben Noc Memorial Temple (Thu Duc city); Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial Temple (Can Gio district); An Phu Dong War Zone (District 12); Lang Le Cultural Park (Binh Chanh district); Binh Tri Dong residential area (Binh Tan district); Thong Nhat Hall; Ben Bach Dang wharf (District 1); Thanh Da Peninsula (Binh Thanh district); Ba Son Bridge (District 1); Tan Thuan Bridge (District 4); Binh Phu Park (District 6); District 7 Administrative Center; Binh Dien Market (District 8); Dam Sen Cultural Park (District 11); Tan Son Nhat 38ha resettlement area (District 12); An Binh Area (Tan Phu district).
In addition, some barge shooting locations are held at Van Phuc Urban Area (Thu Duc City); Tay Bac Industrial Park (Cu Chi District); Go Vap District Cultural Park; Nha Be District People's Committee...
Also on the evening of April 30, many special cultural and artistic activities were held in districts and Thu Duc City.
