On August 20,FPT Telecom opened its second data center in Ho Chi Minh City. At the opening event, Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT Corporation, shared many things about the development process of the new facility, along with the outstanding activities of the enterprise in recent times. This enterprise is deeply involved in the consulting process for the national data center, and is a supporting partner for the American partner when opening low-altitude satellite Internet service in Vietnam.
In addition, the FPT Fornix HCM02 data center in Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park is announced to be the largest in Vietnam at present. The construction area is 8 floors, over 10,000 square meters and contains up to 3,600 racks.

FPT also said that this data center has many advantages such as a convenient location, stable power supply, network and low risk of natural disasters. Therefore, the data center can operate stably, meeting the needs of users and customers. Currently, the enterprise is operating a system of 4 large-scale data centers in Vietnam, two in Hanoi and one in Ho Chi Minh City. FPT also has an "AI Factory" in Da Nang.

As digital transformation becomes the core driving force of economic growth, the demand for data storage, processing and security is increasing rapidly, especially under the impact of the wave of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, especially Generative AI.
The rise of high-performance, energy-intensive computing models is driving the need for expanding data infrastructure globally. According to a report by Mordor Intelligence, the domestic data center market is estimated to reach 524.7 MW in 2025, expected to reach 950.4 MW in 2030, equivalent to an average growth rate of more than 12.6% per year. In Southeast Asia, the new epicenter of the global digital economy, Vietnam aims to become the region's Digital Hub by 2030.
