(QBĐT) - The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, Provincial Police, has just presided over and coordinated with professional forces to successfully crack down on a case, seizing nearly 30,000 synthetic drug pills, arresting 3 subjects and many related exhibits.

Previously, at about 10:45 a.m. on March 29, 2025, at residential group 15, Bac Ly ward, Dong Hoi city, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department, the Provincial Police coordinated with professional forces of the Provincial Police, Bac Ly ward police, Customs Control Team, and Customs Sub-Department of Region IX to arrest 2 subjects, including: Le Tuan Linh (born in 1992, residing in residential group 15, Bac Ly ward, Dong Hoi city) and Ha Nhat Huy (born in 2004, residing in residential group 13, Nam Ly ward, Dong Hoi city) for illegal drug trafficking.

The evidence seized in the car of the two subjects was 29,600 pink and blue round tablets, disguised in milk cartons. During an emergency search of Linh's residence, the Investigation Police Agency continued to discover and seize 170 more pink round tablets. In the initial investigation, Linh and Huy confessed that all of the above tablets were synthetic drugs of the pink type, bought for the purpose of selling for profit.

From the collected documents, the police force expanded the investigation and identified Nguyen Van Trung (born in 1995, residing in Tan Son village, Tan Lap commune, Huong Hoa district, Quang Tri province) as the subject who sold drugs to Le Tuan Linh.

At 11:30 a.m. on March 31, 2025, the Working Group chaired by PC04 Department, in coordination with the Provincial Police Technical Department, Quang Binh Provincial Customs force, Tan Lap Commune Police (Huong Hoa District, Quang Tri Province) executed an order to detain Nguyen Van Trung in an emergency for the act of illegal drug trafficking, and at the same time brought the subject back to Quang Binh for further investigation and handling according to regulations.

The case is currently under further investigation.
