On January 28, The Outpost Art Center in Hanoi organized an interesting exhibition called Alice in the Time Tunnel.
Alice in Wonderland is the second exhibition to feature works from The Outpost collection, inspired by the magical imagination of British author Lewis Carroll 's Alice in Wonderland .
One spring day, through the mouth of a metal tunnel, viewers become modern-day Alices lost in a wonderful adventure filled with strange characters and sights.
The Alice story symbolizes the transition from innocence to the more confusing and (perhaps) fascinating world of adulthood.
In that spirit, the curatorial team follows clues from the multi-layered social contexts in which the works were created to search for a broader terrain of ideas, materials, expressions and emotions.
Entering the exhibition space and "becoming Alice", how will each of us adventure?
Showcasing works by 13 artists: Tran Van Thao, Do Hoang Tuong, Nguyen Son, Nguyen Thanh Truc, Ha Manh Thang, Vo Tran Chau, Do Thanh Lang, Duong Thuy Duong, Hoang Thanh Vinh Phong, Ly Tran Quynh Giang, Le Hoang Bich Phuong, Nguyen Duy Manh and Quynh Dong, the exhibition depicts another slice of The Outpost collection - a lyrical aspect that is fresh yet vague, with a hint of the unusual.
