Ho Chi Minh City: First graders excitedly return to school

Tran Hung Dao Primary School, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, opened its doors to welcome first graders and their parents at 7:30 a.m., and the program lasted until noon.

The school organized many activities to welcome first graders on their first day of school.

In the bustling atmosphere of children's songs and the welcome of school teachers, students experienced many games and activities.

These are a series of experiences such as: assembling pictures, coloring; exploring robot technology and VR glasses; overcoming obstacles, attaching emoticons in the game "Sowing seeds of emotions"; releasing paper flowers to bloom in the water at the "Hello good baby" station; laughing out loud at the "Funny English" station; skillful movement in "Quick movement"; entertainment with clay figurines...

Ms. Le Thanh Huong - the school principal - shared: "The special thing about the first graders' festival at school is that the children can hold their parents' hands and participate in the activities.

Having fun with their parents on the first day of school will help children feel more confident, less confused, and at the same time create meaningful moments of connection between family, teachers, and school. This is what the school gives to first grade students and parents."

Phu Tho Primary School, Phu Tho Ward, Ho Chi Minh City also brought first graders many experiential activities on the first day of school, the morning of August 20.

The first graders of the school in neat uniforms with name tags and the principal and teachers welcome them right at the "check-in" point at the school gate to enter the school.

The school organized a series of activities on the first day of school with the theme "Smart Citizens - Creative City." First graders were led by teachers to: the idea generation club, the robot friend Tarcas, the STEMP planet...

"On the first day of school, the first graders will be welcomed by the teachers and principals, shown how to play... then introduced to the class. In the new school year, the school wants every day the students come to class to be a happy day, so on the first day, they will be allowed to explore meaningful and fun activities," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Huong, the school's principal.

At the Vietnam-America School System (VA Schools) in Ho Chi Minh City, after the summer break, first graders also returned to school with their junior high school and high school classmates and preschoolers.

On the first day of school for first graders, they had many exciting activities, in which they were especially familiarized with the rules and regulations of primary school compared to preschool.

This year, the school inaugurated a new headquarters on Binh Thoi Street (Minh Phung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), so the school organized a welcoming ceremony for first graders along with the first grade classes and let parents visit the facilities, dining room, bedrooms, and functional rooms of the school.
