Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh: Competition is the driving force that inspires and promotes development

On the afternoon of August 8, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Central Emulation and Reward Council for the 2021-2026 term, chaired the 13th meeting of the Council to evaluate the results of the emulation movement, reward work and consider proposals for conferring and posthumously conferring noble titles on collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the meeting of the Central Emulation and Reward Council for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasized that 2025 is of special significance as the country organizes many major events such as the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security tradition, and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of central ministries and branches. In that context, emulation and reward work is a "strong catalyst", creating motivation, spreading patriotism, aspiration for dedication, and a vibrant competitive spirit throughout society.

The Prime Minister commended many emulation movements that are being implemented effectively and have great influence, such as: the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; the emulation movement to build the 500kV line 3 Quang Trach - Pho Noi, the 500kV line Lao Cai - Vinh Yen; the movement "500 days and nights to complete 3,000km of expressway"; the movement "popular digital education" and the lifelong learning emulation movement...

Referring to the time when there are only more than 20 days left until the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2, the Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to focus on promoting emulation movements and successfully completing socio-economic development goals for 2025.

At the same time, the Prime Minister noted the need to do a good job of commendation, especially during important political events, to promptly recognize and honor individuals and groups with outstanding contributions to the cause of national development, construction and protection of the Fatherland. From there, encourage, motivate and promote the contingent of cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, the business community, and all classes of people to strive to compete, make efforts to contribute, and make important contributions to the common achievements of the country...
