At the meeting, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council gave many opinions. They focused on discussing and clarifying some contents in the submissions and draft resolutions on urban development with the aim of developing the province's urban system in line with the national urban development orientation towards civilized and modern urban areas, synchronizing the technical and social infrastructure systems, and at the same time improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the state apparatus' management.

At the 24th session, the 8th Provincial People's Council passed 28 resolutions with high consensus. Among them, it was unanimously decided to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Deputy Director of the Economic Security Department, former Director of Quang Tri Provincial Police, from his duties as a delegate of the 8th Provincial People's Council due to his transfer of work.

Speaking at the closing session, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang affirmed: The passing of the Resolution on giving opinions on the Urban Development Program of Quang Tri Province to 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the Urban Development Program of Dong Ha City to 2045.

The project to classify Dong Ha city to meet the standards of a type II urban area is an important and necessary resolution, serving as a basis for building and developing the province's urban system in line with the national urban development orientation towards civilization, modernity, and synchronization of technical infrastructure and social infrastructure; promoting the strong development of Dong Ha city, creating a driving force to spread to the urban system of the province and the urban system of the North Central and Central Coast regions.

This session of the Provincial People's Council also passed a number of resolutions and issued a number of important local mechanisms and policies to stand side by side with the Provincial People's Committee, agencies, units and localities in performing assigned political tasks.
