International Labor Day on May 1st every year becomes a festival of the working class and working people all over the world; a day of solidarity of oppressed peoples and the working class of the world in the struggle for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress. In Vietnam, after the country gained independence, on April 29th, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree No. 56 stipulating that workers are entitled to receive salary on May 1st International Labor Day.

In 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor and grassroots trade unions will carry out many activities to care for union members and workers.

As an industrial province with about 300,000 workers working in industrial parks, with the motto of focusing on the grassroots and workers, Bac Ninh Trade Unions at all levels have many innovations and creativity in organizing "Workers' Month" activities that bring practical meaning, becoming "Workers' Festival", "Workers' Tet", meeting the aspirations of union members and workers; Affirming the position and role of the Trade Union organization in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

Practically responding to the 139th anniversary of International Labor Day and "Workers' Month" in 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era", since April, Trade Unions at all levels in the province have organized many practical activities for workers. The Provincial Labor Confederation proactively coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs to prepare the content and conditions for organizing the launching ceremony of "Workers' Month" in conjunction with responding to "Occupational Safety and Hygiene Month" at Dai Dong - Hoan Son Industrial Park with a series of activities to take care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; Organize the giving of 1,000 gifts and 1,500 shopping vouchers to union members and workers; Direct Trade Unions at all levels to simultaneously organize activities to take care of the material and spiritual life, create a healthy and useful playground for workers after stressful working hours, accompany workers to continue promoting the fine traditions of the working class.

Through practical activities of the Trade Union, workers will have more motivation and inspiration to be creative, confidently enter the new era with enthusiastic working spirit, high productivity, good efficiency, contributing to building sustainable development units and enterprises, building a rich, civilized and modern Bac Ninh province.
