On the afternoon of February 21, Mobile World Investment Corporation held an online meeting to update quarterly business results.
At the meeting, the board of directors and the company's management directly answered questions from investors and shareholders about business results and business orientation for 2025.
According to the report, Mobile World's net revenue in 2024 reached VND 134,341 billion, up 14% over the previous year; after-tax profit was VND 3,733 billion, up more than 21 times. Online revenue was more than VND 9,600 billion, accounting for 7% of the company's total revenue.
Revenue structure by chain shows that Bach Hoa Xanh accounts for 30.6%, thegioididong and Topzone 22.4%, Dien May Xanh 44.3%.
By the end of 2024, thegioididong and Dien may Xanh chains will have 3,047 stores, a decrease of more than 200 stores compared to the same period in 2023. Despite the decrease in the number of stores, this chain still has a revenue growth rate of 10%.
All product lines of Mobile World have growth.
All product lines have growth rates ranging from 5% to 30%. Refrigeration, tablets, and phones grew by double digits; laptops and household appliances grew by single digits, while electronics decreased slightly. Revenue of the Bach Hoa Xanh chain increased by 30% over the same period, reaching 41,100 billion VND.
The Gioi Di Dong has a business plan for 2025 for thegioididoing and Topzone chains. Accordingly, revenue is over 4,000 billion VND despite the unfavorable market. Offline business is not expanded, at the same time, consider replacing and closing ineffective stores, focusing on increasing revenue growth of old stores.
Regarding the online market, building a destination for shopping for technology and electronics. The Bach Hoa Xanh chain plans to increase revenue by at least 7,000 billion VND, open 200-400 new stores, and increase online sales by 300%, aiming for revenue of 10 billion USD before 2030.
Mr. Vu Dang Linh, Chief Financial Officer of Mobile World, said that consumption is changing dramatically, online shopping is growing strongly. The traditional market model will weaken, this is an opportunity for Bach Hoa Xanh to dominate the market in the near future.
Despite being reorganized and improved over the years, An Khang pharmacy chain is still not operating effectively. Therefore, this group continues to set a target of breaking even in the second quarter of 2025.
