On October 3, according to Giao Thong Newspaper reporters, at the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway rest stop at Km 205 through Ham Thuan Bac district (Binh Thuan), many machines are leveling the ground on both the right and left sides of the route.
At the end of August, the contractor mobilized equipment and machinery to immediately start leveling the ground. Up to now, the unit is constructing both rest stops in parallel with a total area of 10 hectares (5 hectares on each side).
The operator house is assembled right on the construction site. This is also a resting place for engineers and workers after work, meeting the continuous construction needs of the project.
"After receiving the site, the construction unit immediately started working. The rainy weather in the past few days has greatly affected the progress. However, when the sun is shining, the construction site is filled with the sound of excavators and rollers leveling the ground," said engineer Nguyen Duy Tuong.
According to an officer of the Expressway Management Board, up to now, Project Management Board 7 has coordinated with the locality to hand over 10 hectares of clean land for the rest stop at Km 205+092. As for the two stations at Km 144+560 through Tuy Phong district, the locality is completing the documents to hand over the land to the Investor.
Bustling dump trucks and excavators leveling the ground inside the construction site. Two rest stops are being constructed in parallel, the leveling work on the left side of the route (in the direction of Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan) is almost completed. The weak soil on the right side of the route will take more time to treat the foundation and ground.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Thuan, Construction Manager (Dai Tin contractor) said that the project progress is still following the requirements. The contractor is focusing on the items of gas station, toilet, temporary parking lot. The progress is quite tight, in the near future, we will have to mobilize more personnel, overtime, and shifts. We will exploit and complete the remaining subdivisions at the same time," Mr. Thuan informed.
The residential road at the intersection through the rest stop area is also being urgently implemented.
At the end of April 2024, to serve road users, the Expressway Management Board built a temporary rest stop at Km 199 (Ham Thuan Bac district) to serve people while waiting for the rest stop to be completed.
The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is 100.1km long through Binh Thuan province, with two rest stops planned at Km 205+092 and Km 144+560. The winning investor for the rest stop at Km 205+092 is the Thanh Thanh Nam - Chau Thanh - Viet Han - Sai Gon Investment - Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Joint Venture. The rest stop at Km 144+560 was won by the FUTABUSLINES - Thanh Hiep Phat Joint Venture for construction, business and operation.
