The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has just issued a plan to implement activities in response to the 2025 Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace". The action month in Ha Tinh takes place from May 1 to May 31, 2025.

Accordingly, departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province shall complete the steering committee and organizing committee of the Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (if any) to direct and guide the organization of activities responding to the Action Month at agencies, localities and units in the area and field of responsibility to ensure effectiveness and proper purpose.

Units and enterprises, based on actual conditions, shall complete their departments, divisions, and occupational safety and health units; and grassroots occupational safety and health councils according to the provisions of Decree No. 39/2016/ND-CP dated May 15, 2016 of the Government.

Departments, branches, sectors and localities shall base on the content of the plan of the Provincial People's Committee and the actual conditions of the units and localities to develop appropriate implementation plans. Pay attention and focus on expanding the scope of activities to commune, ward and town levels; expand the scope of activities in areas without labor relations; strengthen occupational safety and health at construction sites under their management.

Enterprises and production and business establishments shall develop occupational safety and health plans for 2025 in accordance with Article 76 of the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, in conjunction with organizing activities in response to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene; strengthen assessment and identification of hazards and risks and proactively implement measures to ensure occupational safety and health at the workplace as the theme of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene in 2025; direct and combine activities of the Month of Occupational Safety and Hygiene and the Month of Workers.

Prioritize organizing activities in response to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health and Workers' Month in 2025, such as: training, propaganda, dissemination of regulations of labor law, occupational safety and health; organizing dialogue conferences with employers and employees and strengthening inspection and supervision activities at production and business establishments.

Also according to the plan, before, during and after the Month of Action on OSH, information and communication activities on OSH will be maintained and promoted to create interest and a clear change in awareness and compliance with the law in ensuring OSH at all levels, sectors, enterprises and establishments. Innovate and diversify many forms and methods of communication to suit each target group, in a flexible manner both directly at the workplace and on media and social networks; promptly inform and propagate the causes of occupational accidents, occupational diseases (OADs), incidents to prevent and avoid similar OADs and OADs from happening.

Promote the organization of dialogue activities on occupational safety and health to promote the implementation and remove obstacles in the implementation of occupational safety and health policies and laws in enterprises and production and business establishments; pay attention to and focus on training, guidance, coaching and training on occupational safety and health for managers at all levels, employers and employees; organize conferences and professional seminars on current outstanding issues in occupational safety and health work; disseminate initiatives to improve working conditions, promote the building of a safe working culture, a green - clean - beautiful working environment, and ensure occupational safety and health in enterprises and production and business establishments.

Strengthen inspection and examination activities in some industries and fields where many occupational accidents occur such as: construction, electricity, stone mining, chemicals, mechanics... Strictly handle violations of occupational safety and health laws.

Organize activities to visit and give gifts to victims and families of victims of occupational accidents and diseases to promptly share the losses and encourage families to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives, while promoting communication activities about the consequences of occupational accidents and diseases to warn and propagate to the community, businesses and workers; departments, branches, localities, agencies, units and enterprises based on the Law on Emulation, Commendation and Achievements to organize rewards for collectives and individuals with achievements in occupational safety and health work in 2024 on the occasion of the launching ceremony of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health and Workers' Month in 2025.
