From April 22 to 29, the monitoring delegation of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong province supervised the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households in the communes of Toan Thang, Hoang Dieu, Gia Tien (Gia Loc); Chi Lang Bac, Ngu Hung, Doan Tung (Thanh Mien); Ha Thanh, Nguyen Giap, An Thanh (Tu Ky).
According to the assessment of the monitoring team, in localities, the identification and support for housing construction and repair are aimed at the right beneficiaries, namely poor households and near-poor households living in temporary or dilapidated houses, who need to build or repair houses. Some cases of adjusting their needs from repair to new construction all have legitimate wishes and reasons. Households receiving support for housing construction and repair all started construction before the province's prescribed time. Currently, most of the projects have been completed and handed over to households for use. The remaining houses are expected to be completed before June 20.

The houses built and repaired are all guaranteed to be of high quality. Most of the newly built houses are valued above the budget support level and close to the construction investment cost.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations have promoted their role in propagating and mobilizing families and clans to provide additional funding, combining budget support sources as prescribed, and drawing from the "For the Poor" Fund to support construction projects. In particular, many localities have mobilized people, union members, and association members to support a large number of working days to help families during the construction process. However, the mobilization of social resources is still limited, the scope of mobilization is narrow, and agencies, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists have not been mobilized to join hands in implementing the program. Resources are mainly from working days.
In some localities, many disadvantaged households are not poor or near-poor but live in temporary or dilapidated houses and are in need of housing. For these groups, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will propose that the Central Government has a plan to support or mobilize contributions from businesses and philanthropists to completely eliminate temporary or dilapidated houses in Hai Duong province.
