Sun Group starts construction of the tallest tower in Central Vietnam

The Da Nang Downtown project has a scale of nearly 80 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 80,000 billion VND. The special highlight of the project is the 69-storey tower - the tallest in the Central region, along with a cultural and entertainment park that brings together first-time experiences that will make Da Nang Downtown on the Han River an attractive new destination.

According to the Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, Ho Ky Minh, the Da Nang Downtown project was born at the right time to activate new development opportunities for Da Nang after the merger, increase the competitiveness of the city's economy and affirm its position as "The most worth-visiting, worth-living, and worth-investing city in Vietnam".

“With the unique planning and experience of investor Sun Group , we believe that the Da Nang Downtown high-end cultural, entertainment and commercial service park will be a new driving force for development, contributing to the completion of the city's tourism infrastructure. This is also a strong catalyst to promote the service, commercial, cultural and artistic industries to make a breakthrough,” Mr. Ho Ky Minh emphasized.

According to Chairman of Sun Group Central Region Nguyen Van Binh, the new Da Nang City after the merger is expected to become an important growth pole of the country, with high competitiveness in the Asia - Pacific region. That expectation is a call to each business, investor, government and people of the city to join hands to create a more developed Da Nang with open space.

He emphasized that entering a new development phase, the Da Nang Downtown project will create a new symbol worthy of the position and strength of the new Da Nang ; especially exploiting the potential of the night economy to attract domestic and foreign tourists. The project is expected to be on par with famous night entertainment complexes in Shanghai, Hong Kong (China), Singapore... bringing Da Nang to the level of an international city.

“Today’s event is also a vivid demonstration of the spirit of Resolution 68 of the Politburo on promoting the private economy, affirming the contribution of private enterprises to the overall development of the locality. We are committed to mobilizing all resources to the maximum, ensuring progress, quality and efficiency, and completing the project on schedule,” said Mr. Nguyen Van Binh.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam – BIDV presented a letter of credit commitment with a maximum amount of VND 67.7 trillion to Sun Group to implement the Da Nang Downtown project. According to the progress plan, the project will be implemented in stages from now until 2035.
