Last weekend, the Cultural - Sports Center of Thoi An Dong Ward, Binh Thuy District, organized the 5th Aspiration Badminton Tournament in 2025. The tournament attracted more than 30 athletes aged 15 and over, living in and outside the ward, participating in 3 categories: men's singles, men's doubles and mixed doubles. After 2 days of exciting competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the First, Second, Third, and Encouragement prizes along with Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals; and gifts to the winning athletes. Mr. Tran Vi Thong, Chairman of Thoi An Dong Ward Badminton Club, said: “The tournament is held annually on major holidays to create a playground for club members and badminton lovers to compete, learn and exchange. Thanks to the consensus and support of benefactors, the tournament is organized in a socialized form, contributing to the development of badminton movement in the locality.”

On April 16, in Long Hung ward, O Mon district, the Ky Yen Thuong Dien festival took place at Phu Luong communal house. In addition to traditional worship rituals, there were also bustling activities of the festival such as performing arts, folk games, sports competitions, etc. It is known that the annual communal house worship ceremony is close to the national April 30th holiday, so the ward coordinated to organize many cultural, artistic and sports activities, creating a joyful atmosphere for people to have fun and entertain. In addition, Long Hung ward plans to organize an exchange of amateur music of regions and units on April 25, both to celebrate the great festival and to create conditions for amateur music lovers to have a suitable playground.

In Thoi Lai district, football fans are eagerly participating and cheering for the district's Traditional Football Tournament 2025. The tournament is organized by the Thoi Lai District Culture - Sports and Broadcasting Center, taking place from April 16 to 18 with the participation of 12 football teams from communes and towns. The teams are all practicing and ready for the matches to achieve the highest results.

Joining the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the big holiday, Can Tho City Retirees Club is preparing for the Cultural and Sports Exchange Festival, held on April 17. This has been an annual activity of the Club for many years on the occasion of April 30, creating an attractive and meaningful playground for retired officials and workers.

There are many rich and diverse cultural, artistic and sports plans and programs prepared by local authorities and units from now until April 30, contributing to spreading the joyful and exciting atmosphere for the great national festival.
