Quang Ngai invests in East-West route

The provincial Traffic, Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board has completed the plan for this project. Accordingly, the entire route from National Highway 1A to Dak Plo border gate is 246.2km long, with a total estimated cost of VND5,650 billion.

On this route, provincial road 676 is currently about 62km long, with a total cost of up to 1,300 billion VND, and is being constructed synchronously. Provincial road 676 is designed according to the standards of a grade III mountainous road with a 9m wide roadbed and a cement concrete road surface. Particularly, for complex terrain sections, grade IV or grade V mountainous standards will be applied to ensure construction and operation safety.

The road passes through the districts, from Son Tay district (old), through half of Kon Plong district (old), then to Tu Mo Rong district (old), and half of Dak Glei district (old).

According to the Quang Ngai Department of Construction, in response to the people's wishes, the Provincial People's Council meeting at the end of August 2025 will discuss the East-West traffic network connecting Quang Ngai province. The funding source will use the state budget to invest in construction and upgrades in the period 2025 - 2030.
