Vice Chairman of FPT University Council Hoang Nam Tien suddenly passed away

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was born in 1969, originally from Nghe An , the youngest son of Major General - Hero of the People's Armed Forces Hoang Dan (1928 - 2003) and Ms. Nguyen Thi An Vinh, former National Assembly delegate.

Mr. Hoang Nam Tien joinedFPT Corporation in 1993 and held many important leadership positions such as Chairman of FPT Software, Chairman of FPT Telecom before being appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of FPT University from April 2023.

He is known as a dynamic, intelligent businessman, always passionate about technology and education , especially recently with inspiring shares about digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

Not long ago, on the afternoon of April 11, 2025, at the Symposium on “Some basic issues on digital transformation and application of artificial intelligence in the new era” organized by the Party Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien was the main reporter. With his humorous, friendly presentation style and sharp thinking, he brought many new perspectives on the role of artificial intelligence in education, economy and social management, which was positively received by many cadres, intellectuals and young people of Nghe An.
