The Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway project is nearly 58km long, of which the section passing through the province is nearly 30km long. The project started in mid-2014 with an initial total investment of more than VND31,300 billion.

Recently, VEC has sent a document reporting to the Ministry of Transport on the completion of the construction of 7.4km of Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, from Phuoc An intersection to National Highway 51.

VEC proposed that the Ministry of Transport allow the investor to temporarily put the project into operation for 3-6 months to serve people's travel needs during the 2025 Lunar New Year in order to distribute traffic and reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 51.

On January 9, the Vietnam Road Administration approved a traffic organization plan for a 7.4km section of the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway for temporary use. Accordingly, vehicles from Phuoc An Port and Nhon Trach District can enter the expressway and go straight to National Highway 51 and vice versa. The temporary section allows cars to travel at a maximum speed of 100km/h, while motorbikes and non-motorized vehicles are prohibited.
