To implement the wildlife farming model, from the beginning of the year, the Bac Son District Agricultural Service Center (Lang Son Province) coordinated with the People's Committees of Bac Quynh Commune and Chien Thang Commune to conduct a survey and select 4 eligible households to register to participate in the model.

Households participating in the chameleon breeding model are supported by the state with 20 chameleon breeds. People are guided by specialized departments on the technical process of raising chameleons throughout the model implementation period.

When the gecko is 6 to 7 months old, it will reach its maximum weight of about 80g or more. At that time, the female gecko begins to lay eggs every month and for many years.

The mother gecko lays 2-5 eggs once a month. The gecko eggs cling to walls or tree trunks and after 2 to 3 months hatch into baby geckos.

The price of gecko seedlings ranges from 300,000 VND to 400,000 VND/seed. The output for gecko seedlings on the market today is very wide and supply cannot meet demand.

Although the chameleon farming model is still in the experimental stage, it promises to bring high economic efficiency.

After the trial breeding of chameleons, the authorities will evaluate the effectiveness and replicate it in Bac Son district (Lang Son province).

Replicating the chameleon farming model for people to develop family economy associated with tourism development in the district.
