Awarding prizes to the contestants

“Our ancestors have a saying: “Handwriting - personality”. Practicing beautiful handwriting for primary school students - the age when they start to get acquainted with letters - not only helps them appreciate each stroke of the letter they write, but is also one of the important factors contributing to success in learning and training. Therefore, practicing handwriting, especially at the primary level, is a practical and meaningful task” - Ms. Le Thu (primary school teacher in Long Xuyen City) expressed.
Writing beautifully also contributes to honoring the beauty of the Vietnamese language, expressing respect and preserving national cultural values. The Beautiful Writing Contest is not just a contest, but also contributes to educating students in the virtues of perseverance, carefulness, discipline and aesthetic thinking. Since its launch, the contest has received positive responses from primary schools and local education and training departments.
The Organizing Committee developed a specific plan, coordinated with relevant units to implement from school to provincial level, with a serious, impartial, objective and effective spirit. Throughout the exam, candidates clearly demonstrated their meticulous investment, polished handwriting, and careful presentation. Each exam is a page of writing bearing a personal mark, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and love of beauty.
With a spirit of impartiality and objectivity, the Board of Judges carefully evaluated each essay, selecting the deserving candidates. The winners must have correct and beautiful handwriting, and demonstrate creativity, reasonable layout, and emotion in each stroke. “Through the contest, we found that most of the students wrote with correct spelling, presented neatly and neatly. Many entries showed smooth handwriting, clearly expressing the writer’s personality. The units had prepared carefully, practiced seriously and selected carefully. The students’ participation spirit was very positive, showing their excitement and love for Vietnamese” - the representative of the contest’s jury commented.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year’s contest was successful in both professional quality and organization. More importantly, the students’ eagerness to learn and maturity in their awareness of “practicing writing and keeping notebooks” were the most important. The results of the contest were not only in the awards, but also in the clear progress in each stroke of the students’ handwriting.
“Through this playground, teachers also have the opportunity to exchange and learn experiences in teaching handwriting. Educational units have more opportunities to review and re-evaluate the process of handwriting training in schools, thereby adjusting and further perfecting the movement of "Writing correctly and beautifully" in the whole sector" - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Nguyen Quoc Khanh commented.
