According to Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ), to ensure medical work for the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (event A80), the Ministry of Health mobilized thousands of medical staff to join hundreds of medical teams on duty in all areas, from central areas to places where the parades passed through. In addition, the Ministry of Health also deployed inspection teams on the environment, food safety, and epidemic prevention before the ceremony took place.

"The Ministry of Health is working closely with functional units, especially Hanoi, to grasp the situation and see how many people will return to the capital on September 2. In the central area, there will be more than 30,000 people participating in A80 at Ba Dinh Square and it is expected that millions of people will be on the streets to welcome the country's important event.

Therefore, medical forces are deployed evenly from the center of Ba Dinh to the wards and communes, where people from the localities stand to cheer on the parades and marches passing by...", said Mr. Ha Anh Duc.

The Ministry of Health will arrange mobile medical teams in medical tents along the routes to best ensure simple emergency care and primary health care for the people.

At the same time, coordinate with the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security and major hospitals in Hanoi to organize 24/7 emergency care. Medical teams, ambulances, supplies and medicines have been fully prepared. Some hospitals have arranged 5-10 beds to receive unusual situations.

Hanoi arranges 88 emergency teams

With the responsibility of being the capital's medical unit, according to Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Department of Health, up to now, all preparation stages have been planned in detail, ready to handle all situations, from emergency care, food safety control, disease prevention to responding to unexpected tasks... The Department of Health also coordinates with functional forces to inspect and supervise before, during and after the celebration activities.

As planned, the capital's health sector will mobilize 346 staff, 37 ambulances, divided into 88 emergency teams (including 37 ambulance teams). This number does not include those on duty at the main emergency center (Xanh Pon General Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital), medical facilities in the area, as well as medical forces at crowded places and for training.

Hospitals under the Hanoi Department of Health are required to increase medical examination and treatment. Each unit must have at least one mobile emergency team on standby, ready to provide emergency care and transport patients when required; and have 5-10 hospital beds ready to serve activities in case of unusual situations.

At the same time, hospitals as well as the Hanoi 115 Emergency Center must prepare emergency teams, each team consisting of 1 doctor, 2 nurses, 1 ambulance with full equipment, emergency medicine, and necessary equipment to participate in performing medical duties at the locations of activities as assigned.

In addition, the 115 Emergency Center also prepares ambulances and staff on duty to participate in emergency transportation when there is a situation to respond to the transport of infectious disease cases.

Ensure food safety

According to Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung, determining that this is a great occasion, with the need for people from everywhere to visit Hanoi, large parades and parades, high demand for food, and potential risks of food safety loss, the Hanoi Department of Health has assigned the City's Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department as a permanent unit to coordinate with related units such as the Food Safety Department, the National Institute for Food Safety and Hygiene Testing, the Military Testing Institute, the Institute of Criminal Science, the Anti-Poison Center - Bach Mai Hospital, etc. to direct commune and ward health stations to inspect and supervise to ensure food safety and hygiene, and prevent food poisoning before, during and after the celebration activities, parades and marches.

In particular, the Hanoi Food Safety and Hygiene Department inspected food safety assurance at food production, trading and processing establishments from the initial raw material purchasing stage to the transportation, preservation, processing and use of food during the celebration activities.

According to the Deputy Director in charge of the Hanoi Department of Health, the City's Food Safety and Hygiene Department must be responsible for requiring units to commit to strictly implementing food safety regulations, providing clean and safe food sources, hygiene during food processing, cleaning equipment and processing tools, health check-ups and personal hygiene to ensure food safety.

Arrange 3-step food inspection teams to monitor food hygiene and safety at commemorative activities. Prepare and be ready to handle any mass food poisoning and food-borne diseases.

Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung also added that the reality of previous major holidays shows that there are always unexpected situations. To respond, the Hanoi Department of Health has arranged a centralized command mechanism, ensuring smooth communication and quick inter-sectoral coordination to handle the problem.

Hanoi's health sector not only prepares on-site forces but also has mobile and reserve emergency teams to respond to emergencies in situations of disasters, terrorism, food poisoning, etc.

In cases of traffic accidents, fires, and mass food poisoning with a large number of patients, the Hanoi Department of Health will mobilize emergency teams from hospitals and medical units located in the capital to participate.

The 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 are important political and social events. Dr. Ha Anh Duc suggested that people install the A80 application on their smartphones to know the location of medical staff on duty.

He recommends that the elderly and those with one or more underlying diseases should find suitable locations to watch the parade or stay home to listen to the radio or watch TV. People with chronic diseases must comply with their treatment, and if they are taking medication, they must ensure they take the full dose. If they are healthy enough to go out, everyone must try to drink enough water and must have equipment to protect them from the sun and rain.

When feeling signs of declining health, people need to ask for support from the authorities, try to proactively leave crowded places early and must proactively ensure health in all situations...
