The quality rice production model in Hoai Nhon Dong achieved a profit of nearly 17 million VND/ha.

The model was deployed on a scale of 3 hectares, with the participation of 25 farming households. VN121 rice variety was selected due to its good adaptability and high rice quality.

During the production process, farmers strictly follow organic farming procedures: no chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides are used, instead, organic biological fertilizers and biological pesticides are used.

The results showed that: The density of natural enemies such as parasitic wasps, long-legged spiders, wolf spiders, red ladybugs... was 2-3 times higher, thus controlling pests and planthoppers in rice fields without spraying chemical pesticides, significantly reducing production costs and protecting the ecological environment.

The actual yield of the model reached nearly 74 tons/ha, 6 tons/ha higher than the fields outside the model; the profit reached nearly 51 million VND/3 ha, nearly 8 million VND/3 ha higher than the fields outside the model.

Not only does it bring economic efficiency, the model also contributes to improving the soil, increasing the ability to retain water and nutrients. Farmers participating in the model have raised awareness of the harmful effects of chemical abuse in agriculture; forming safe production habits, protecting public health and the environment. The model also creates clean, spongy, delicious rice products, meeting market demand.
