Specifically, the Ministry of National Defense assigned the Air Force Officer School to recruit 25 students for the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) major, under the Air Force Command and Staff Officer major in 2025.

The candidates are male candidates who have passed the preliminary health examination round organized by the Air Defense - Air Force Medical Institute (Air Defense - Air Force) and are concluded to meet the recruitment standards.

Lieutenant Colonel Luong Viet Cuong, Assistant for Admissions at the Air Force Officer School, said that admission to this major is to meet the needs and tasks of the military, which is to prepare military human resources suitable for the development of science, technology, and military engineering in the world.

Previously, from 2022, the Air Force Officer School also trained the primary level in controlling and suppressing unmanned aerial vehicles.

“Currently, this system has trained up to the 4th course. We have carefully prepared the facilities, lecturers, and training program. After meeting all the conditions to ensure quality, from 2025, the Ministry of National Defense has assigned the school to officially train this major,” said Mr. Cuong.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Luong Viet Cuong, with the role of air force staff commander, students studying this major will be fully equipped with knowledge of techniques, control and suppression of unmanned aerial vehicles.

In 2025, the Air Force Officer School was assigned by the Ministry of National Defense to recruit 165 students, including 105 students for military university training and 60 students for military college training.
