MD1 subdivision is located to the east of Mang Den town, adjacent to strategic traffic routes such as National Highway 24, Quang Ngai - Kon Tum Expressway (according to planning) and Tran Nhan Tong road. The total area of ​​the planning area is about 4,380 hectares, one of the large-scale areas with multi-functional development orientation, including urban, service and tourism.

According to the approved plan, by 2045, this area will have a population of about 94,200 people and welcome about 5 million tourists each year. The spatial structure is organized in an ecological direction, limiting concretization, respecting the natural terrain and existing ecosystem, while developing impressive architectural spatial axes, forming visual highlights in the center of the area.

Regarding technical infrastructure, the plan emphasizes the development of synchronous transportation, with a modernly designed urban, inter-regional and internal road system. Notably, the area will invest in building a train line connecting Mang Den Airport to major tourist centers such as Po E, Mang Canh, Dak Tang, Mang But, contributing to shortening travel time, reducing pressure on road traffic and enhancing the tourist experience.

Water supply, electricity supply, wastewater treatment and communication systems are planned at a high, modern level, aiming for synchronous undergrounding, energy saving and environmental friendliness.
The zoning plan also identifies many key projects that need priority investment in the coming time, such as: Service urban area No. 1 (283ha), tourism urban area No. 4 (248ha), tourism service urban area No. 5 (277ha), along with projects to renovate ethnic minority villages and build a framework technical infrastructure system.

Kon Plong District People's Committee is assigned to coordinate with the Department of Construction to announce the planning project, develop an implementation plan, and ensure progress and effectiveness of implementation. At the same time, related departments and branches will coordinate to organize investment and construction in accordance with legal regulations.
