Quang Ngai's export turnover of goods to the US reached more than 397 million USD.

In the first 7 months of this year, Quang Ngai had about 20 enterprises participating in import-export activities with the US market. Export turnover to this market reached more than 397 million USD, accounting for 24% of the total export turnover of the whole province.

Main export items are: Interior and exterior products; steel; all kinds of clothing; electronic components, inductors and transformers for electronic equipment; shoes, leather handbags, all kinds of leather shoes; inductors, transformers, conductors; interior and exterior. Import turnover from the US market in 7 months reached 44.8 million USD, with the main imported items being: Raw materials for steel production; fabrics and raw materials for garments, leather shoes; machinery and spare parts; cotton of all kinds.

According to Quang Ngai enterprises, the US application of a reciprocal tax rate of 20% is still high, still causing difficulties in production and export activities. The provincial authorities need to strengthen forecasting and early warning of trade defense risks; establish an early warning system when there are signs of the US investigating or changing tax policies so that enterprises can promptly have early response plans.
