These are the sounds and images that frequently appear in the sky of Bac Giang commune these days, when 2 formations of 8 SU-30MK2s are intensifying special flight training for the upcoming performance mission at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ) (Photo: Hai Long).

From 5:30 a.m., to prepare for a training session with impressive flights, when dawn just broke, the SU-30MK2 fighter jet with serial number 8583 slowly rolled onto the runway, took off for meteorological reconnaissance before starting the practice flights.

The engine roared, the "king cobra" soared into the sky. The meteorological flight lasted about 15 minutes while the moon was still high in the sky and the sky was not yet completely bright.

After the meteorological flight is completed, the data will be sent to the command room - Air Force Regiment 927 (Division 371, Air Defense - Air Force Service) for analysis. In favorable meteorological conditions, the commander will assign the flight mission immediately afterwards.

Major Pham Van Nam, Squadron Leader of Squadron 1 - Regiment 940 said that this mission with the flight is quite complicated, requiring high technical skills, so during the training process of flying 1 or 2 aircraft, the training must be very strict. Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Thanh, Squadron Leader of Squadron 1 - Regiment 940, one of the 12 pilots of the Yak-130 squadron, said that he and the entire squadron were very proud and honored to carry the great responsibility in this A80 mission.

"This is probably the event that I personally feel very honored and proud of because this is a milestone in my military career when I was able to participate in this major event of the country," said Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Tien Thanh.

Flying close to the end of the demonstration flight are 4 L-39NG. Combined with SU-30MK2 fighters and Yak-130 multi-role trainers, it will create an impressive flight performance at the upcoming A80 ceremony (Photo: Thanh Dong).

According to the flight plan for the A80 ceremony, there will be a total of 30 aircraft of various types, including: Mi helicopters; C295 and C212i transport aircraft; Yak-130 multi-role training aircraft; L-39NG training aircraft and SU-30MK2 fighters.
