At 10am, Elena (left, Belgian) arrived at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The foreign girl was impressed to see thousands of people surrounding the square, wearing ao dai, scarves, holding national flags, cheering, waiting for the pilots' training session.
The moment the helicopters flew across the sky made her both surprised and excited. Sharing with Dan Tri , Elena said that this was the first time she set foot in Vietnam with her friends, and she felt very lucky to be able to immerse herself in the solemn atmosphere of National Day on September 2.
“The Vietnamese people are amazing, the atmosphere is so vibrant, something I have never seen in Belgium. We are so lucky to be here on this occasion,” Elena said.

Ms. Phan Thi Huong ( Hai Phong ) also could not hide her emotions when witnessing the helicopter formation flying over Ba Dinh sky. This morning, she woke up at 3am, almost staying awake all night waiting to depart.
Having attended the 50th anniversary celebration of the Liberation of the South in Ho Chi Minh City, this time Ms. Huong prepared more carefully, with colorful costumes to blend into the National Day atmosphere in Hanoi.
“As someone born in peace, I am more deeply aware of the sacrifices of our ancestors to bring independence and freedom to our country. The moment I stood at Ba Dinh Square, looked up at the flying groups and saw the radiant faces of thousands of people, I was truly moved,” she shared.

From 5am on August 21, a large number of people and foreign tourists gathered in front of Ba Dinh Square to watch the pilots practice flying. People cheered continuously while watching the drill of the Air Defense - Air Force aircraft squadron.

This morning's training session involved two flight squadrons, the M17 helicopter squadron and the Casa transport aircraft squadron.


People excitedly used their phones to record the moment the helicopter flew over, everyone expressed their pride at being able to live in the joyful atmosphere awaiting the great national holiday.

A family took the opportunity to record the moment the helicopters flew over, everyone was smiling brightly.

Many passersby also lingered to witness the moment the flight crews practiced on Ba Dinh Square.

According to the plan, at the parade on the morning of September 2, the Air Defense - Air Force will organize 9 groups of 30 aircraft to fly to welcome at Ba Dinh Square. The aircraft will take off and land at Hoa Lac, Gia Lam (Hanoi) and Kep (Bac Ninh) airports.
