Support 400 million VND for students of Ta Lung commune

On November 10, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Children's Fund (VCF) and INT Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company (INT Holdings) signed a cooperation agreement to sponsor a library for children at Ta Lung Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Dinh Tien Hai - Director of BTTEVN Fund said that after nearly 32 years of operation, the Children's Support Fund at all levels has mobilized over 7,900 billion VND, supporting over 35 million children in special and difficult circumstances nationwide, of which BTTEVN Fund alone with the motto of operation "Dedication - Transparency - Timeliness - Participation", has mobilized over 1,700 billion VND and hundreds of thousands of tons of goods and materials to support over 7.6 million children in special and difficult circumstances nationwide.

However, currently, out of a total of about 25 million children under 16 years old, there are still about 1.7 million children in special circumstances (accounting for 6.8%) and over 2 million children at risk of falling into special circumstances (accounting for 8%, mainly living in poor and near-poor families) who need more attention from the whole society.

While the country is still poor and the state budget for children in special and difficult circumstances is limited, the Vietnam Children's Fund calls for assistance and cooperation from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals with the goal of supporting more and more children in special circumstances, poor children, and disadvantaged children to realize the basic rights of children, create equal development opportunities and have a better life.

Mr. Hoang Huu Thang is a businessman, inspirational speaker and author of the book "Journey to turn the impossible into possible". The book was published and circulated after 2 years of dedication, incubation and compilation. All profits from the book "Journey to turn the impossible into possible" were transferred to the Charity Fund called "Wings of Dreams" through the BTTEVN Fund to build schools and libraries for districts and mountainous areas for children in special and difficult circumstances in difficult mountainous districts.

With the content of the signing of this 2023 sponsorship cooperation agreement, INT Holdings supports 400 million VND (funds from the "Wings of Dreams" Fund) to support the construction of a library, equipment, tables, chairs, books for children at Ta Lung Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province to create opportunities for students without conditions in mountainous and difficult areas to access information and knowledge.

The program to support the construction of libraries and necessary equipment will be implemented within 6 months (starting from December 2023 to May 2024). The main beneficiaries of the library are students of Ta Lung Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities, Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province.

Mr. Hoang Huu Thang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of INT Holdings said that the goal of the Program is to help children in the highlands have more opportunities to study and discover new knowledge. Thereby, helping them easily access new sources of information and knowledge, creating conditions for children in the highlands to develop comprehensively, especially creative thinking, contributing to helping the school complete the career of training human resources, nurturing talents for the country. Not only helping to promote reading culture, unleash knowledge, improve people's intelligence, but the library also contributes to implementing political tasks, scientific research, cultural and social development to help children have a better future, creating great values ​​for society. “I was born and raised in a poor mountainous district. To be who I am today, I am always grateful to my family and the community who have always loved, accompanied and helped me. Therefore, I want to join hands to support the community more. BTTEVN Fund is a prestigious bridge between sponsors and those in need of support. I want to help more Vietnamese children through BTTEVN Fund,” Mr. Hoang Huu Thang shared.
