Also on the morning of April 2, 2025, 100 disadvantaged patients in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces were present at Ho Chi Minh City Eye Hospital early in the morning to receive free eye surgery.

Ms. Pham Thi Muoi, 72 years old (Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City) said: she has completely blurred one eye and her other eye has also been seeing poorly for many years now but she has no money for treatment. For the past few years, she has only been able to stay home to look after her grandchildren and cook for her sick husband, but recently she has been unable to take care of herself because she cannot see anything.
"Hearing that HDBank sponsored free eye surgery, my whole family and I were very happy. After this, I can help my children and grandchildren more, and be more confident in daily life," Mrs. Muoi cried.
Like Mrs. Muoi, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hong, 62 years old (Mo Cay Nam district, Ben Tre province) looks forward to going to Ho Chi Minh City for eye surgery every day. She said: "I am grateful for the kindness of HDBank. I am from the countryside, I don't know much about it, but I heard from my children and grandchildren that HDBank sponsors free phaco eye surgery. After the surgery, the patient will recover quickly and have almost no complications. I am so happy, from now on my eyes are clear!"
HDBank has accompanied the Ho Chi Minh City Association for Supporting Poor Patients for 19 consecutive years in charity trips across the country.
Sitting next to Ms. Muoi and Ms. Anh Hong, Ms. Bui Thi Nga, 67 years old (Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City), Mr. Le Van Ngoc Le, 65 years old (Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City) and many other uncles and aunts were all happily and excitedly telling stories and plans to do after they could see again. "I hope that my lottery ticket selling job will be more favorable and I will have more money coming in and out. Thank you to the Bank for the sponsorship," Ms. Bui Thi Nga said.
Bringing light to more than 16,000 people across the country
During the cozy meeting between the patients, the team of doctors, the leaders of HDBank and the Association for Supporting Poor Patients of Ho Chi Minh City at noon, when the patients who had undergone surgery still had to have their eyes covered with tape, everyone was happy.
