The "Nam Long Housing Program" was quickly realized. In 1996, the An Lac project in Binh Chanh (HCMC) was born with a primitive residential complex model. In 1998, the first rows of houses under the Nam Long housing program were launched on the market with an urban complex mindset, including the projects Phu Thuan, Tan Thuan Dong (2005), Phuoc Long B, An Thanh - Can Tho... The idea of ​​developing an integrated satellite urban area for Ho Chi Minh City was born in 2003 when Nam Long implemented a project of hundreds of hectares, with the dream of accompanying the development of Vietnamese urban areas. To implement this urban area, Nam Long visited urban areas in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines to learn. Nam Long's first and largest urban area is currently the 355-hectare Waterpoint, developed over 15 years, with the participation of international experts in an international planning competition with foreign judges.

Nam Long understood that, with its "infancy" at that time, it needed to learn from planners who had implemented large urban areas to ensure international capacity. Coming from an architect and planner background, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quang believes that to develop an urban area with timeless value, the most important factor is standard planning, combining architects and developers with vision and experience. Although preparing for urban development lasted for decades and was under a lot of pressure from investors, Nam Long was still determined to build the foundation in the most methodical and professional way.

Investment in urban planning has brought "sweet fruit". Experience from Waterpoint has been "replicated" by Nam Long in other projects.

In addition to Waterpoint, Nam Long is developing large and small urban areas in many provinces and cities such as Izumi City (Dong Nai), Mizuki Park (HCMC), Nam Long Central Lake (Can Tho), Nam Long Dai Phuoc (Dong Nai)... Nam Long has invited many members of the board of directors and general directors with international experience from the US, Malaysia, and Singapore to orient the company to apply new development models, while developing a successor team with the capacity to develop more professional and standardized urban areas.
